BIPSS President Speaks at Climate Change Conference in Washington DC

President BIPSS, Major General ANM Muniruzzaman (Retd.) delivered a lecture at the first Conference of the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS-US) Transatlantic Dialogue on Climate Change and Security. The conference commenced on 5 May, 2009 in Washington DC. General Munir spoke on “Managing Climate-induced State Threatening Crises”. His co-panelists were Brigadier general Nigel Hall (Retd.), Senior Associate Fellow, Defence Academy of the UK and Dr. Kent Butts, Director, National Security Issue Group, US Army War College. His lecture was followed by a panel discussion participated by security analysts, academics and policy makers from across the world.
