Stockholm Forum 2022
President BIPSS, Major General A N M Muniruzzaman, ndc, psc (Retd), was invited by the Swedish Foreign Minister Ann Linde as a Distinguished Speaker at the Stockholm Forum 2022. This Forum is a leading platform for exchange between security, development and peacebuilding policy communities, exploring solutions and providing new perspectives and ideas on global issues. General Muniruzzaman spoke at the main plenary of the Forum along with the Assistant Secretary of Defence of the USA and senior defence ministry officials from Canada and Sweden. The Forum was jointly hosted by the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and SIPRI bringing large and diverse senior policy level participants from all over the world. It was particularly important because the Forum also paved the way for Stockholm +50 Conference being held this year.
