President BIPSS Major General A N M Muniruzzaman, ndc, psc (Retd) was invited to speak at the Planetary Security Conference (PSC2017) in the Hague. This flagship conference on the issues of climate security was hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Government of the Kingdom of Netherlands and was attended over 300 delegates from 60 countries. General Muniruzzaman spoke at the panel on Geo Engineering of the Climate. In his speech he highlighted on the caution that should be taken in deploying this emerging technology without complete understanding of the consequences and after effects.He also stressed on the need for a global governance structure needed to use this technology. It may be mentioned that General Muniruzzaman is currently the Chairman of the Global Military Advisory Council on Climate Change (GMACCC).
