President BIPSS visits Geneva for Humanitarian Interventions Conference, 03 December 2013

President BIPSS, Major General Muniruzzaman (Retd.)  was the keynote speaker at the Humanitarian Interventions Conference in Geneva, Switzerland. The conference was jointly hosted by the United Nations Environmental Program (UNEP) and the Geneva Centre for Security Policy (GCSP) was commence on 03 December 2013. It was attended by policy planners and practitioners in the field of humanitarian operations.

General Muniruzzaman’s keynote address was titled ‘Security Implications of Climate Change: Its Impact on National and Regional Stability’. It could be mentioned that General Muniruzzaman is currently the Chairman of the Global Military Advisory Council on Climate Change (GMACCC).
