Bangladesh: Our Maritime Future

Bangladesh is a maritime nation with great strategic importance and huge economic potential. To explore such maritime potential Bangladesh Institute of Peace and Security Studies (BIPSS) and The Daily Star jointly organized a roundtable discussion titled “Bangladesh: Our Maritime Future”. Members of academia, journalists and policy experts participated in the roundtable. The participants had a lively discussion on a wide range of topics related to strategic and security issues of the Indian ocean and exploration of maritime resources, renewable energy and future economic prospects in the Bay of Bengal region.
