Women in Journalism: Prospects and Challenges

Bangladesh Institute of Peace and Security Studies recently organised a Policy Café at Westin, Dhaka on ‘Women in Journalism: Prospects and Challenges’. The event was moderated by Major General A N M Muniruzzaman ndc psc (retd), President of BIPSS. The invited discussant for the policy dialogue was Ms Ayesha Kabir, consulting editor of The Prothom Alo English. The event was attended by Ambassadors , foreign diplomats, editors, scholars, defense personnel, academics and other dignitaries and participants. The discussion focused on the special role that can be played by women in journalism and the challenges they face in doing their job.
