The Big-B Initiative: Alive or Dead?
The Bay of Bengal Industrial Growth Belt (commonly known as BIG-B) Initiative was proposed by the late and former prime minister Shinzo Abe as part of his “Abenomics” policy back in 2014. It was made in an attempt to accelerate cooperation for quality infrastructure development and create more investment opportunities. BIPSS research intern Tarina Maliat-E-Rahman discussed whether the initiative is in the continuum or not in his absence.
