South Asia: Politico-Security Dynamics
President BIPSS Major General Muniruzzaman, ndc,psc (Retd). visited the United Kingdom recently at the invitation of the Ministry of Defence as a Distinguished Visitor.
General Muniruzzaman visited the Defence Academy of the United Kingdom (UKDA) where he delivered a lecture on ‘South Asia: Its Emerging Security Dynamics’ to a large audience consisting of officers from the British Army. The lecture generated a lot of interest on issues related to South Asian security and the strategic significance of the region particularly Bangladesh. A dinner was subsequently hosted in his honour by 8 Engineer Brigade which is the designated formation for defence engagement with South Asia.
General Muniruzzaman, a former Colonel Commandant of the Regiment of Artillery of Bangladesh Army also visited the Royal School of Artillery [RSA] at Larkhill. During the visit to the RSA, he was briefed about its various activities and was also given given a tour of the ‘Home of Gunners’.
