President BIPSS, Maj Gen ANM Muniruzzaman(Retd) was invited to be a Keynote speaker at the International Affairs Forum at the Institute of Strategic and International Studies (ISIS), Malaysia.
President BIPSS, Major General A N M Muniruzzaman, ndc, psc (Retd) was invited to be a Keynote speaker at the International Affairs Forum at the Institute of Strategic and International Studies (ISIS), Malaysia. General Muniruzzaman’s presentation at the forum was titled ‘ South Asia : Mapping the Strategic Landscape’.
In his remarks he touched upon the nature of the strategic significance of the South Asian region in the international landscape, the full spectrum of current and emerging threats facing the region and the unstable security environment. He also analysed the current strategic fluidity and uncertainty in the international system and stressed on the need for an inclusive security architecture for the Asia Pacific Region. The forum was attended by diplomats, senior officials from the ministry of foreign affairs and other concerned ministries of Malaysia, academics, members of the ISIS council, research staff from the institute among others.
Prior to the forum General Muniruzzaman also called on the Chairman and Chief Executive of ISIS Malaysia Tan Sri’ Rastam Mohd Isa. During the meeting they discussed about bilateral cooperation between the two institutes and issues of mutual interest.
