Political Transition in India – What It Means for South Asia and Beyond
Dr. C. Raja Mohan, Distinguished Fellow and Head of Strategic Studies at the Observer Research Foundation (ORF) in New Delhi delivered BIPSS ‘Eminent Person Lecture’ on June 11, 2014 in Dhaka. The lecture was titled ‘Political Transition in India: What It Means for South Asia and Beyond’. During his lecture, he analysed the implications of the recent political transition in India for the South Asian region. Dr. Raja Mohan highlighted that there will be new dynamics in India’s relationship with its neighbors. Dr. Raja Mohan also discussed how the contours of India’s relationship with countries beyond the South Asian region will also take shape in the coming days.
The event was presided over by the Major General A N M Muniruzzaman, ndc, psc, (Retd), President, BIPSS. The event was attended by a large audience comprising of academics, former diplomats of Bangladesh, foreign diplomats, members of civil society, media persons and a large number of youth.
