Bangladesh Economy: What is the Outlook?
Bangladesh Institute of Peace and Security Studies (BIPSS) recently organized a policy café in collaboration with USAID, IFES AND CEPPS on the topic, ‘Bangladesh Economy: What is the Outlook?’ at the Westin, Dhaka. The discussion was moderated by BIPSS President ANM Muniruzzaman, ndc, psc, (retd). The expert speakers of the roundtable were Dr Fahmida Khatun, Executive Director, Centre for Policy Dialogue (CPD) and Assistant Professor Parvez Karim Abbasi, Department of Economics, East-West University. The attendees of the event included Senior Diplomats based in Dhaka, former Bangladeshi Ambassadors, Representatives of International organizations, Government Officials, Defence personnel, academics, editors, journalists, scholars and students. The speakers shared their valuable insights and shed light on the key factors including challenges and opportunities that will shape Bangladesh economy in the near future. The policy discussion ended with lively interactive session.
