Alumni Associations: Advancing Regional Security Cooperation

Mr. Shafqat Munir, Head of Bangladesh Centre for Terrorism Research (BCTR) and Research Fellow at BIPSS recently attended a workshop at the Daniel K Inouye Asia Pacific Center for Security Studies (DKI APCSS) in Hawaii. Earlier Mr. Munir attended Advanced Security Cooperation 2018-2 programme at the DKI APCSS under the Fellowship of Indo Pacific Security Studies (FIPSS). The workshop titled ‘Alumni Associations: Advancing Regional Security Cooperation’ looked at enhancing security cooperation across the Indo Pacific region harnessing alumni networks and included participants drawn from DKI APCSS alumni from armed forces, think tanks, ministries and international organisations from over twenty countries.
