The Strategic Significance of the Bay of Bengal and Role of Bangladesh

Recently, Bangladesh Institute of Peace and Security Studies in partnership with Dhaka Tribune, hosted a roundtable on ‘The Strategic Significance of the Bay of Bengal and Role of Bangladesh’ at The Westin Dhaka. The event was moderated by President of BIPSS Major General ANM Muniruzzaman ndc pst (retd.)

The roundtable had an expert panel comprising of Brig General Shahedul Anam Khan ndc,psc (retd) Former Associate Editor, The Daily Star, Rear Admiral Kazi Sarwar Hossain NBP, OSP, BCGMS, ncc,psc (retd), Former Ambassador and DG of Bangladesh Coast Guard and Parvez Karim Abbasi, Assistant Professor Department of Economics, East West University.

The session was attended by many distinguished dignitaries including ambassadors, senior diplomats, government officials, editors, journalists, and scholars among others. The event mainly focused on the comprehensive discussion on the strategic significance and the ever-growing importance of the Bay of Bengal.
