President BIPSS Major General Muniruzzaman attended and spoke at the Strategic Studies Summit held in Ankara,Turkey

President BIPSS Major General Muniruzzaman attended and spoke at the Strategic Studies Summit held in Ankara,Turkey last week. The yearly summit brings together leading think tanks, strategic thinkers,security experts,policy makers from a large number of countries. This years summit was of special significance as it was held in the back drop of some grave security challenges facing the international system. General Muniruzzaman spoke at an expert panel on the linkages of the Syrian civil war to the spread of ISIS. The summit was also attended by Shafqat Munir, Associate Research Fellow, BIPSS.

It may be mentioned that Strategic Studies Summit is arranged by the Strategic Studies Network (SSN) of the US National Defence University. BIPSS is a member of the SSN. The network undertakes studies on critical strategic and security issues, it’s findings/recommendations are widely circulated to policy makers.
