President BIPSS attended a regional conference on ‘Cooperative Development, Peace and Security in South Asia’ in Kathmandu, Nepal from 15-16 February, 2014

President BIPSS, Major General Muniruzzaman (Retd). attended at a regional conference on ‘Cooperative Development, Peace and Security in South Asia’ held in Kathmandu, Nepal from 15-16 February ’14. The conference was organised by the Centre for Research in Rural and Industrial Development (CRRID), India and the Centre for South Asian Studies, Nepal. The attendees included representatives from think tanks and the strategic community of South Asian countries, academics, officials and representatives from the SAARC Secretariat as well as members of the media.

General Muniruzzaman presented a paper on ‘Non-Traditional Security Issues in South Asia’ at the conference. The conference was innaugurated by H.E. Sushil Kumar Koirala, Hon. Prime Minister of Nepal.
