Building Awareness Against Disinformation Among Youth | 18 September 2024
The Bangladesh Institute of Peace and Security Studies (BIPSS), in partnership with the U.S. Embassy ( Public Diplomacy Section), recently hosted a workshop titled “Building Awareness Against Disinformation Among Youth” at the American Center, U.S. Embassy,Dhaka.The sessions were conducted by Ms.Saraf Wasima, Research Assistant at BIPSS, and Ms. Mohosina Mostofa, Research Assistant at BIPSS. Both speakers played a key role in facilitating discussions on media literacy, critical thinking, and strategies to identify and counter disinformation.
The highly engaging workshop saw active participation from university and college students, who were deeply involved in discussions and tasks. Their participation helped generate valuable insights and practical solutions to address disinformation in the digital age.
