BIPSS organised a three day National Workshop titled ‘Countering Violent Extremism (CVE): Building Resilience and Capacity’ under the auspices of its specialised centre Bangladesh Centre for Terrorism Research (BCTR). The workshop had drawn experts from various disciplines. Stakeholders such as the members of the academia, media, think tanks, armed forces, paramilitary organisations and law enforcement agencies and the Islamic Foundation participated in the workshop. There was a lively discussion between the speakers and participants and policy recommendations were provided by the eminent experts in their chosen fields. The three day workshop was drawn to a close with the closing remarks from President, BIPSS Major General Muniruzzaman (Retd).
