BIPSS and the South Asia Center of the Atlantic Council jointly organised a roundtable titled ‘Bangladesh In Focus’ in Washington DC

On 01 October 2014, BIPSS and the South Asia Center of the Atlantic Council jointly organised a roundtable titled ‘Bangladesh In Focus’ in Washington DC. Panelists included Ambassador Teresita Schaffer from the Brookings Institution, Ambassador Bill Milam from the Wison Center, Dr. Robert Boggs from the National Defense University, Dr. Stephen Tankel from American University along with Major General Muniruzzaman (Retd). and Mr. Shafqat Munir from the institute.

Speakers at the roundtable deliberated on the various political and security challenges confronting Bangladesh, Bangladesh’s regional relations and an overall economic outlook. The event was attended by representatives from State Department, Department of Defense, various agencies of the US governement, think tanks, universities, private sector and diplomatic missions in Washington DC.
