Bangladesh: Ground Zero for Security Impacts of Climate Change

On the 11th of February, BIPSS President, Major General ANM Muniruzzaman (Retd) attended virtually the National Climate Emergency (NCE) Summit in Melbourne and delivered a case study on ‘Bangladesh: Ground Zero for Security Impacts of Climate Change’. He was a part of Forum 4 tittled ‘Hot, Wet & Violent: Climate and Global Security Consequences” and delivered his presentation along with other distinguished speakers. It may be mentioned that General Muniruzzaman is the Chairman of Global Military Advisory Council on Climate Change (GMACCC). He has published extensively on climate security and has spoken at all major platforms on this issue.
