Climate Refugees: Complexities and Legal Aspects
Climate refugees are individuals who are forcibly displaced from their homes due to climate induced conditions but there are no clear guidelines on how to treat them under international law. Climate refugees are not getting the same treatment as other categories of refugees. However, more possibilities can be opened up for them. Lamia Rahman Tammi, BIPSS Event and Social Media Coordinator tried to illustrate this phenomenon in her commentary entitled ‘Climate Refugees: Complexities and Legal Aspects’, while highlighting legal aspects concerning the issue of climate refugees.
